Happy New Year
Happy New Year!
May your year overflow with joy and abundance. May your heart be peaceful
and your soul content. May you know love.
May this be your best year ever!

Louise,
This, my new-year's eve message to you, is this:
- the year 2009 is past, over and impossible to change
- not that it shouldn't be looked at, but maybe it doesn't need to be looked at right now; looking back at it 5 years from can wait, 2009 will remain unchanged but your view of it will be different, 5 years wiser, and there will 5 years between it and where you are [reminds me of the quip 'walk a mile in someone else's shoes; hey you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes'
- be careful though, there are some things you want to pack; to bring forward to 2010 . . things you don't want to leave behind - like, your heart, your perspective, your loves, your writing skill, your insight (I've missed your edits, advice and slaps to the upside of my head!), your many talents in areas you love - your paints and the keyboard
Pack 'em up . . bring 'em along.
It's time to drag 'only what you want to drag' into the new year
c'mon . .you can do it
OK . . now it's 2010:
Welcome to 2010.
Here you are, just a few things you've brought along ... otherwise, 2009 is behind you. A place worth forgetting, for now.
This day, this new year; has energy in it.
Get yours from the sun.
Get yours from the walk you take - watch for kids and dogs, they'll get you warmed up.
Get yours from the water (imagined you are on the shore, the world is the ocean) - look out, see the horizon, watch the boats ... wonder what they're going, where they're pointed .. . imagine who is on board, the adventures they are having
Get yours from the stranger you sit with - asking 'so, tell me your story, teach me about you - I want to learn about you, understand you - and maybe, to write about you or some things I learn from your story'

Get yours anywhere you can . .
Happier year to you . .

Great comments from Mark.
Out of the heart
the song rises,
the mind searching
for notes
to capture
its flight.
~ Murray Bodo, o.F.M.
You will find your best notes in 2010 and your song will be wonderful to hear.
Love and hugs.
They are wise words indeed.
Perhaps it is this beautiful snowy morning.
Perhaps it is that I have settled into the futility of trying to make sense of what is not making sense.
Perhaps it is...
I know the truth and struggle to accept it.
This too shall pass.
This is only a moment.
What I bring into this year are all the things Mark says...
And, my grace and joy and love and happiness and vibrancy and belief that we are all miraculous beings on the journey of our lifetimes.
The gift is -- we determine the quality of our journey. We determine how we travel.
I choose this morning to travel lightly.
My one New Year's Resolution is to meditate on A Course in Miracles every day.
Deepening my spiritual essence is my path to contentment, acceptance and... Love.
Hugs to you both.
Happy New Year!
Louise
