The First Oscar Worthy Moments Awards

No one needs a smile as a person who fails to give one. Unknown
Life is filled with lots of moments worthy of an oscar. Moments that touch our hearts, make us laugh and cry and smile and stand in awe. It's Oscar weekend and time for the First Recover Your Joy Oscar Worthy Moments Awards...

The first OWMmmmm prize for Most Inspiring Moment goes to Clay Dyer. I'd never heard of this professional bass fisherman. Didn't even know there was a profession of Bass Fishermen. But, having found him, I stand in awe. Be prepared to be inspired and be prepared to be moved... (and be prepared with kleenex.)

Albert Einstein said, "Dancers are the athletes of God." Life is in the dance. It's the steps, not the destination that makes the difference. The goal is not to dance from A to B, but rather, to dance for the pure joy of it. The OWMmm for Most Uplifting Moment goes to a young man, Matt Harding, who by his own admission is a bad dancer. But, he had an idea and got the people at Stride Gum to agree with him that it was a Good Idea and they paid for his trip to travel around the world. Over the course of 14 months Matt danced (badly) through 42 countries and invited hundreds of people to join in the joy of his dance. This video will lift you up and make you smile!

And the OWMmm for Most Endearing Moment goes to... Jill and Kevin's Wedding Entrance! This OWMmmm video is an amazing story of love -- love of laughter, life, each other. It's a wedding entrance with a twist -- sure hope it puts a smile on your face.

Pretty well everyone knows the story of Chris Brown and Rhianna and his temper and violence in that relationship. After realizing their song choice Forever had a double meaning and wanting to add value to their event, Jill and Kevin invited people to donate to a charity focused on ending domestic violence. And they've raised over $10,000. The video is awesome and fun to watch -- it just makes you feel good -- and it will make you smile!

"I want what that guy's got." ~ Clay Dyer

His story moves me beyond words.

Yeah -- me too!

I sat and quietly cried after it was finished. He is so humble and 'normal' and so incredibly open and honest. Very powerful.

OK, now I have tears in my eyes after watching the video clip of Clay Dyer. What an inspiration he is, truly a remarkable man. Now whenever I'm feeling a little sorry for myself because of a colostomy and nerve pain, I shall think of him. I wanted to hug him, his brother and Mom & Dad. Loved the other 2 videos as well. Crying and smiling in one blog...Wow. Thanks for uplifing my day, sister dear. Love, Jackie
