I am here,

I am here,
calling
calling
Your name
to the wind and sky and rocks
layered
in ancient stratification
crenellated canyons
crenellated canyons
standing firm
deeply cut
exposed
granite walls
lined and weathered
by time
do You
see me?
do You
hear me?
do You
know me?
my voice echoes
calling back
see Me
hear Me
know Me
I wait
breathless
hope suspended
upon the wind
swirling through
canyon walls
caressed
and worn
by Your breath
whispering
deeply cut
exposed
granite walls
lined and weathered
by time
do You
see me?
do You
hear me?
do You
know me?
my voice echoes
calling back
see Me
hear Me
know Me
I wait
breathless
hope suspended
upon the wind
swirling through
canyon walls
caressed
and worn
by Your breath
whispering
the stories of time
moving
constantly through
granite
rock
layered
held firm
in time
exposed
time passes
wearing down
ancient stratification
granite
rock
layered
held firm
in time
exposed
time passes
wearing down
ancient stratification
You
stand firm
calling me
stand firm
calling me
calling me
back
back
back
back
to Your embrace.

Love this, Louise. The photo is like a call -- and you captured it.
Like a meditation.
Meditative expression of the call to each poet, waiting for each interpretation.
This reminds me of, "I heard the Lord call my name ..."
Quite a poem. So much energy and heart in well crafted lines. Read it thinking of an echo effect through the stanzas.
Oh yes, I hear the calling back to your embrace. Echos of time captured.
so hynotic calling, calling ~
draws you in as the image ~
