A New Year's Poem

Time pulls
the woolly blanket
of night
over day
the sun falls
into the horizon
and darkness blankets the sky

I tumble
pulling my fears
behind me
stuffing myself into a dress
and pumped up heels
ready to kick high
and dance
my way
through
the night
into a new year
expectant
not ready
just like
last year
when the time arrived
and I was
waiting
thinking maybe
this time
I'd be better off
sleeping
through the curtain
of darkness
dreaming
of this day
passing
away
into a brand new year
rising
up
in its potent promise
all dressed up
in glittery finery
waiting
for a new day
a new year
yet to come.

Happy Happy New Year everyone!

May your days be filled with love and laughter, joy and harmony.
May you know the bliss of living each moment filled with the rapture of now.

dancing our way through the night - life often feels like this - i can very much relate to this emotion you create with your words here - and we keep on dancing, dreamy, hopeful, brave as long as the music plays..

Building a foundation on knowledge learned in yesteryears, filling our nows with hugs, love, and positive thinking, the dreams and fantasy of tomorrow are merely new garments to put on as we surge forward, speaking to new generations, encouraging them to dream beyond, achieve more, and work to bring about a better world.

One of the best things to come out of 2010 -- are the people like you who drop by to visit.

One of the most wonderful things about 2011 -- are the people like you who continue to drop by to visit.

Thank you everyone.

your words resonate and pluck the strings of my heart ringing in a song of joy for the New Year!
