The important thing is not to sop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. Albert EinsteinA thought for your day.
The most wonderful thing about spending time with my friend R. is that she too is a 'green' woman. In personality color codes, that means we're curious, thinkers. We want to understand, and believe -- which can be a trap -- there is a perfect and right answer for everything.
There is no perfect and right answer for the universe. There just 'is'. Our joy is in the discovery of answers -- and sometimes, we get trapped into believing our own stories.
Yesterday, R and I spent a marvelous day exploring the countryside. The Pancake Breakfast was held at the Saskatoon Farm, a fabulous greenhouse, nursery/restaurant/gift shop/art gallery set in acres and acres of rolling hills. It is a stunningly beautiful place to explore. And... the pancake's weren't bad either, especially the Saskatoon Berry syrup!
No matter what we did, R and I enjoyed deep conversations exploring what makes our humaness, what makes us tick.
What fun!
Ellie, in her inimitable fashion, continued to boss Chester around, making it quite clear at all time that she is the alpha, and he is just a mere man-dog. Don't mess with me dude the watchword of their relationship.
We stopped at garage sales and curio shops, met an artist in his gallery and wandered the streets of Okotoks, taking in the country-feel of this town just minutes from the southern end of Calgary.
It was a sublimely relaxing and enjoyable day -- and now, I must be off to enjoy myself some more!
Have a blessed and peaceful Sunday.
